Book Study idea - S/S 2?
Would anyone be interested in a book study of the No Limit Hold'em section of Super System 2?
The thing that might make this particularly cool is that the entire book is available for free at Doyle's Room. Is anyone interested in this? |

Re: Book Study idea - S/S 2?
1. I'm not crazy about the content in SS.
2. There are really good NL books expected to come out this year and many would rather spend time reading/studying those than something that was written in the 70s. |

Re: Book Study idea - S/S 2?
I had actually considered posting my notes from Gordon's Little Green Book. I got started typing it up and never finished it. I think there are some pretty good things to be discussed in there. I had taken most of my notes on the Flop section. I'm not sure how many would be interested in that, but I always like it when people are looking to start discussions and studies.
I'll have to look into those new books. I hope they are looking at getting more example hands in there like they did in SSHE. |

The style of play discussed is deep (> 300bb effective stacks), against quality opponents (i.e. better than your average NL100er), and to pull it of you really need to have useful reads of your opponent (i.e. live play really). Not to say SS/2 isn't a good book, and there are some ideas in there which will help your game in all situtations, but there are much more relevent books out there. |
