Default $25NL : QQ over + OESD

Hi 2+2,

I'am not sure that my play was correct at the flop, i would like to have your opinions.

No big infos about vilain, only 14 hands. He seems pretty tight but not sure.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (7 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero ($31.65)
MP2 ($13.85)
CO ($12.25)
Button ($5.60)
SB ($15.40)
BB ($17.85)
UTG ($13.20)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, SB calls $0.90, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>.

Flop: ($2.25) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $1.75</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $4</font>, Hero ???

Get all in quickly. He only started with $15 and you have good equity vs. his range.

Check raise on the flop means much of the time a set.
I think vilain could have a set, two pairs, TPTK.

What about flat call to see what happens on the river ?

I think spikes is right, your against a decent hand most of the time here.
Strangely your not in as much trouble as you would think against sets/2pr/lower straights (thats the worst case scenario - he has 1 pair or a draw some of the time as well)

I left out AA/KK here since at NL25 3-betting is so standard PF.
I dont hate shoving but I dont feel we have any fold equity against hands that beat us and we have a ton of outs.
Perhaps call and re-evaluate on the turn, if we hit a straight or set then we are a favorite against his range and its safe to assume an unknown NL25 goes broke with 2-pair on any board.

I'am 100% agree with you : we haven't got fold equity versus his range (set or 2P), on the other hand i think we have a lot of outs (any Q, any K any 8) and very good implied.

If you call here, he's shoving turn 99% of the time ). I also this his range includes 88/AQ/AhJh and possibly AhKh (not to mention that he could be some random with 2 hearts here). Shove flop please.
