What's wrong with the housing market? I know the housing market in the U.S. is in a really bad state, but last time I checked the housing market in Canada was strong.

fed is Federal Reserve, which is the US central bank...

Market says they're more likely to cut their rates than raise them, because of meh economy, housing market, etc...

In Canada, BoC is more likely to raise them, because of strong economy.

In theory this says the US$ will fall even more in CAN$, but honestly I dont think we need to panic too much, it doesnt go straight up. It's very likely it can take years before it reaches parity.

It's even worse than that. I remember getting 50%+. One thing , though back then I only one tabled and played 1/2 full. Now I 2-4 table and generally play higher than that. But the hit has been huge. I remember freaking about getting only 25 percent, now that would be paradise..... I was watching CBC today. They were saying the Canadian dollar has risen 43% against the U.S. dollar in 4 years. I can't believe the Canadian dollar used to be worth ~60 U.S. cents. I'm hoping that the U.S. dollar has finally bottomed out and will start to rise again.

Either way, it seems like I won't be converting back to Canadian currency any time soon. I'm going to wait this out.
