Default alleged violation of student conduct code

According to the attached Misconduct Incident Notice, you have been charged with an alleged violation of the UCSD Student Conduct Code...


Summary of Alleged Misconduct:
Upon leaving the building, a Muir house advisor looked up at Tioga Hall and observed a brown paper airplane fly past him from aove. The HA saw the blinds to G-24 move. The HA went up to the 5th floor and to G-24 specifically. When he asked who threw the paper airplane from the window, JaBlue immediately admitted that it was he who did that.
Incident: 6816

Within ten academic days from the date of this notice, accused student must schedule a meeting with [the dean of residential affairs] at (XXX) XXX-XXXX

Wow, did 6815 other people throw planes too? Or were some people involved in more than one plane throwing?

Either way that's a lot of planes.

This is pretty standard. If it's your first violation, it will probably just be a warning and that is it. You may be put on housing probation which means that if you get another violation in a year, then you have to do community service or some other [censored].

Might I also add, I hate how much f'in discretion these pricks have in assigning these things. If this were a criminal case, you would NEVER be convicted on such circumstantial evidence. Not only that, but at my undergard, we weren't even allowed to have lawyers come to our meetings for counsel. We were offered a deal (which was usually pretty [censored]) and told if we appealed it, then it would definitely go on our record. I know I said your first violation is nothing, but if they don't dismiss it, be very careful on your second. We had a propane grill in our apartment (always cooked with it outside, just had to store it somewhere) and we were written up for having "fireworks and explosives" just because we had some propane tanks sitting around.

Why? If it's RAs/campus patrol they can't do anything if you said no.
