Why I tip floormen
I always tip this guy Alli at HP in CA. He is kind of stern and not really friendly... but I feel he makes good decisions AND I'm kind of a loud guy... so it helps to have floormen on my side.
I usually give him $5 every other time I'm there... Anyways, the other day I'm playing in a short handed $25-50 stud game... Alli sees we are getting short and knows I drive all the way down to Inglewood just to play in that game. within in 5 minutes he hustles up 2 HORRID nl hold'em players to fill the game. I don't know how he talked them into sitting down at a 25-50 game they really didn't understand. Anyways, I proceed to win $1,100 off the guys Alli hustled up, give him an additional $20, and get out of dodge a big winner for the day. I hear a lot of people chastising those of us who tip well at the casino... but trust me... it's worth it :-) mod note - one floor tipping thread a day is enough - http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=0&Number=12503107&an= 0&page=0&gonew=1#UNREAD |

Re: Why I tip floormen
i used to be pretty staunch anti-tipping. Recently I've started tipping the service people (cage workers, waitresses and such) just because they have to deal with some of the most abhorrent people in the world
