Default help with copying Itunes

I purchased 2 songs off ITUNES thinking i can download them onto my Blackberry Pearl which has an MP3 player. The songs work on my computer which has the Itunes software but it won't copy onto my Pearl. According to my friend ITUNES won't allow you to download onto a non Apple device. Is there any way around this? I wouldnt have bought the songs if I knew this. IF there is a way can someone tell me how in a non techy way? thanks

If I remember correctly the songs you get from itunes aren't MP3s, and therefore don't work in a standard mp3 player. Mp4s maybe?

I think they're AAC files. Anyway, if you really want them you can burn a cd and then rip the cd as mp3.

Edit: There's probably software that will convert them to mp3, but I've never wanted to do this so I don't know. Googling this would probably solve the problem pretty quick.

You don't need a cd. Record the audio with Audacity and then export the recording as an mp3 using LAME.

Irishthug - I was about to post the same thing, but would you mind taking a look at a post I made over in the computer technical support forum? It's regarding this process, audacity, my laptop, and no stereo mix input option.

fwiw iTunes Plus has no drm. I think the catalog is pretty limited as of now, though.
