Default Re: Life without cable or satellite TV?

I was stealing satellite with a friend, he moved so I lost it. I havent had any TV for like a month. The only thing I miss is being able to watch the suns games, otherwise I couldnt care less. I have no plans to get satellite hooked back up, or to order cable anytime in the near future.

In the past when I was poor and first living on my own, I never had cable. Id only get it for 1 month out of the year so I could watch the tour de france. So ive gone long stretches without it before. You really don't miss it once its gone.

I don't even watch TV anymore. I download Veronica Mars, 24, and one other show I refuse to say. That's it.

It's Lazy Town, ftw.

The Hills. It's ok to watch it bro.

i feel like just coming out and saying it because: a) it's a really good show, and b) i hate people getting it wrong.

[/ QUOTE ]

You already listed Veronica Mars, so I don't get why are you worried about listing something embarrassing

I'm definitely dropping my cable tv when 24 and Lost end for the season... No cable TV means I'll have extra time to golf and/or fish instead of sitting on my sorry ass wasting the summer watching TV.

I'll probably even get a bunch of extra poker hands played as well.

I'll miss Food Network, and GSN for High Stakes Poker. Sports as mentioned, plus I usually watch sportscenter as I'm going to sleep.

I don't think anyone here can go without a computer, or even just going back to dial up. If I went back to dial up, I'd have no computer since I would throw it out the window.

200+ channels and nothing's ever on. Still couldn't live without it though.

the best thing I did in the last 6 months of my life was sell my flat-screen TV to a craigslist drug dealer.

[/ QUOTE ]

Did you sell it for drugs?

[/ QUOTE ]

no sold it for cash, was solicited to buy marijuana and cocaine and obtained said persons cell ph# if I needed any

There are some people, former mods even, who won't buy a TV. They can't handle the mediocrity.

Hey! I actually have a TV, just not TV (reception). I still watch movies sometimes, maybe one per month.

I've never really watched TV. Not sure what I'm missing.
