Not scared of Monsters.
If the players at these tables are so bad (ie the loose/fishy gambooling types), isnt the extra 1 or 2 bb's we win when playing these type of mistake prone opponents more than making up for the 50 cent hike?
What do you guys think? |

Re: Not scared of Monsters.
It will be about 1-3 months before we know if the tables are any juicier. Right now the concensus seems to be that they are exactly the same but more rake.

Re: Not scared of Monsters.
if the Monster tables are so bad why play them ? The normal tables are like 2 weeks ago......and there are enough ways to qualifi for the monster ( cheap ways ).

Re: Not scared of Monsters.
Has anyone factored in the EV of hitting the bad beat jackpot on these tables? (Note: I suck at math) I'm thinking the extra 50 cents hurts a lot less than people are making it out to be.

Re: Not scared of Monsters.
it is .50c of extra rake per hand won. Theorhetically, 70% of it is given back in the form of BBJ. however, on regular BBJ tables, party takes some 10-30% for themselves for "the cost of administering the BBJ." Whatever. Lets just assume that the BBJ returns 100% to the players. THat means that it is just a bizarre savings program in which we give, in my case, 6max tables, an extra $7 per 100 hands, $280 for a normal workday of 4k hands. That money will, theorhetically be returned to me in one lump sum. $3 per 100 hands, $120 per normal workday, goes into a freeroll that goes to players that are not me, as freerolls are never worth my time (make more playing cash games.) It certainly feels like a $400 a day hit, but, theorhetically, I do get $280 of it back. Of course, I've never even seen a party poker qualifying bad beat.
