Default can 2 dimes be right on this? please explain if you get it!

We were talking about this last night in my home game... double suited aces and kings versus double suited aces and king/queen... which would be the favorite? The aces/kings only have 1 king for trips but many more straights to make... i was dumbfounded when I punched it in to twodimes... and this came up.

Can anybody explain this to me?

Too many samples are required, using 500,000 sample simulation.

twodimes is always right. the straight possibilities essentially count for bupkes, so AAKQ has to make trip queens to scoop usually.

As Ks Ah Qh doen't have many straights to win the hand, since neither A nor Q are outs. It needs JT and either a 9 or the case K, and has to dodge the three remaining Queens, as well as a paired board in the latter case. With 44 unknown cards and 5 to come however, the fourth King will show up 11.9% of the time.

so how does the AAKK end up with the winning hand then? the only way it can scoop is to catch the case K? (the flush odds are the same for both double suited hands and the one pair of aces will tie)... sorry, i must be a dolt.

chance of the case K coming > (Chance of JTA or JTK or JT9 coming w/o a queen coming + Chance of 2 queens coming w/o a K coming + chance QQQK comes) I think thats all the possibilities.

I don't feel like doing math but it seems pretty cut and dry.

OP, let me guess, you are one of those players who would prefer to have AKo against AKs since AKo has 2 ways to make a flush.

Yeah because it's so obvious and relevant if AAKKds or AAKQ ds is better

Ok next time I get AAKQds I will fold preflop because, it has only 47.6% equity against AAKKds.

Does it really matter? We are never folding either hand preflop
