Default ($24) AJs in SB BvB. Line check

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t20/t40
8 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: t1500
UTG+1: t1640
MP1: t1260
MP2: t1590
CO: t1430
Button: t1775
Hero: t1260
BB: t3045

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
6 folds, Hero calls t20 <font color="aaaaaa">(pot was t60)</font>, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to t80</font>, Hero calls t40 <font color="aaaaaa">(pot was t80)</font>.

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (t160, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">BB bets t80</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to t240</font>.

The villain is a very marginal winner and I have a note on him saying that he loves to openminraise strong hands. I figured he would cbet most of the time, thus the checkraise. Or is leading out better here?

Now imagine my raise gets called and the turn bricks out. My action then? Lead again for ~t400, check/call or check/fold?

check call to the river if possible. this is a pretty marginal hand even against bad players.

How is calling and check raising flop any different if he has a set or AQ AK, really no difference. right?

As said, raise PF. I think your flop line is alright. It's the best way to define your hand--I would expect your opponent to fold 60-70% of the time here.

If you get called, I would proceed with caution. You've shown a lot of strength, but probably won't be able to shake off AQ+. If you get 3-bet, fold quickly.

I probably check the turn if called, as you're likely behind, and he may check behind. You could get a cheap showdown or maybe induce a bluff on the river, too.

I'm curious why you limped preflop. Were you trapping? If so, you caught him, so you ought to play the hand accordingly. Raising would have made the hand play a lot easier though.

I don't like leading out on the flop because I think you're getting raised with any ace, and you have no idea whether you are WA or WB.

I don't mind the C/R. He should mostly fold. But like others, I'd probably check-call it down. Not that I think I'd be beaten often here.
