Default What are the equivalent stakes?

10/20 limit is the equivalent to what no limit game? given the same skill, texture, looseness, tightness, etc... of the game.

Can someone give a figure for all stakes starting from micro and up to high stakes please? Limit to NL

I think you're asking a question without a real answer. Being skilled enough to beat 10/20 limit doesn't necessarily equal being able to beat any NL game at all.

My guess, if you really wanted to make equivalent stakes, would be to compare standard buyins. 10/20 limit would roughly equal somewhere between 2/4 and 3/6 in that case.

somewhat related bankroll requirements question.

In limit, typically you want a 300BB or more bankroll. In No-limit, you want X BB's/buyins.

Like, what bankroll do you want for $400 1/2 NL. How about $400 2/4 NL? $800 2/4 NL?

Thanks,

Similar question:

Online 5/10 has 1k buyins.
Live 5/10 at Commerce has $400 buyins.

Since online plays deeper, do you adjust your bankroll depending on the size of the buyin and not the stakes? Should the 5/10 live be more comparable to 2/4 online since both are $400 buyin games?

I wouldn't think so, as you're paying $15 per orbit in one game as opposed to $6. You'd have to open up more in a 5/10 game at $400 depth because the price of sitting around and nut-peddling is so high.

More importantly, depth in absolute dollar amounts is irrelevant; what matters is the depth relative to the amount of the big blind (the reasons why should be obvious). 5/10 with a $400 max is no way analogous to 2/4 with a $400 max, since in one you're only 40BB deep and in the other you're 100BB. Skill level considerations aside, 5/10 $400 max is the same exact game as a 2/4 with a $160 max.

Is the 5/10 the lowest NL game the commerce spreads? It sounds like an abberation that you can only buy in for 40 BBs at a 5/10 NL game live, unless its their lowest game.

I hate buying in for 40 BBs, its the worst possible buyin size. I'd rather buy for 20 or 25.

With a shorter stack your variance should be higher, which means you'll need a proportionally larger bankroll, although it may not be larger in absolute terms. I've never really thought about shortstacking bankroll requirements though.

These matches my intuition - in my limited experience, there seems to be sort of a natural break between 5/10-10/20 and between 1/2-2/4 NL in terms of the level on which you need to be thinking (though I actually think the stars 10/20 has gotten softer the last few months - I think because of the way the limits are organized in the Stars client, the 5/10 and 10/20 player pool is somewhat homogeneous
