Default holdem poker for advanced players

I have been reading HFAP and it is mostly based on limit. Is this book still reccomended for NL players?

No.

Try No Limt Holdem: Theory & Practice, Phil Gordon's Little Green Book, or Harrington on Holdem Vol 1.

This might sound funny, but this book helped my NL game a lot. I found myself playing more aggressive, thinking more about what my other players are holding. I do recommend it.
