I think it is hilarious how much trouble you guys are having with this. There are 10-15 posters who could do an equally good job, what is the holdup?

[/ QUOTE ]

All the mod needs to do his ban a couple people. Anyone can do this if they have read like two baseball threads this year.

The fact that the biggest nits (Clarkmeister and Caldaroo) don't like JoA should pretty much tell you that he should be the mod.

[/ QUOTE ]

Too funny.

this thread has really just turned into one big flame fest. i say just let Cola decide, and i'm sure he'll come up with a decent decision, and he has a good list of candidates to work off of now too.

Not sure how anyone could expect it turn out any other way. In fact, given that no additional mod is need, it could be argued the OP was trolling when he started this thread.

Otherwise, I'll throw my hat in there.

Maybe you should state your position on Moderation and give a few examples, from recent threads, of places where you would have intervened.

I'll state my position on moderation.

Cola is doing a fine job, and I'm not 100% sure that an extra moderator is needed. But if there is one that should be chosen, I honestly feel like I should be considered. I would mod in the exact same fashion Nolanfan modded this forum, and I am active every day in this forum whether I post in it or not. If you don't like me I'd also suggest someone like a Jim Kuhn as I feel he'd probably take the same approach. The only problem with him I see is he doesnt seem to be as active in this forum. But I think i've contributed enough to this forum and 2+2 as a whole to be worth a shot, but then again i might be biased

On second thought, I'd rather not "run" for moderator - JoA would do a much better job than me, and I'd endorse him over me any day of the week.

This is exactly what I was looking for in a new sporting events user mod. I'm sure he will do a great job, but please let me know if you have any complaints about his moderation.

I want to thank the others who volunteered. It's good to know that quite a few of the regulars here are interested in helping out.

MEbenhoe is a fine choice. I am looking forward to less duplicate threads.
