i always here the soy-turns-you-into-a-women thing from guys who think the bench press is the best exercise and who eat a lot of red meat. I'm sure their too smart to fall for dairy farmer's propaganda...

Go to a Whole Foods store. Peruse the aisles and aisles of soy protein powders, bars, milks, cereals, etc. Then look at the patrons who are buying these. Do these people look like they've ever deadlifted?

Nice elaboration. Are there any studies done that support this? Link plz.

Please keep in mind that we would like an unbiased source to have run this study.

As far as I know, the only study that linked soy protein to elevated levels of estrogen was pretty much debunked. There are slight differences in bioavailability between soy and whey protein, and also differences in the amount of amino acids in each one. It seems to me after looking at the evidence whey protein is better but to call soy protein worthless is silly IMO.

Besides, have your cereal with some skim milk and you get the advantages of soy based and animal proteins at the same time.

just searched a bit on google "soy and estrogen" and found that most sites label the connection to be inconclusive...seems that some studies show high estrogen problem and some little...so at least for me i will avoid it, obviously its not gonna "turn you into a women" in the literal sense, but it does contain phytoestrogens and has enough controversy surrounding it that i choose to avoid it...
