Default 5/10 - aggression on a semi-dead board

Party 5/10 - 5 handed new table less 50 hands

Bu is likely on a steal
BB is semi loose, will fold scary boards and call down often

SB A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Fold, Fold, Bu Raise, SB re-raise, Call, Bu Call

K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (pot $45)
sb checks, Bet, Fold, Call

Should SB show more agression on this flop or is the turn the right place.

7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (pot $55)
check, Bet, Raise, Re-Raise, Cap, Call

Did SB go overboard on the turn?

I'll post river later. - Thanks!

First of all the action is really confusing the way you posted this hand. Please use a converter next time. Secondly, if the SB is going to 3-bet this preflop then he should be betting this flop. On the turn I think you can safely dump wehn it comes 2 back to you and then when it is capped you are probably drawing dead.

When SB's turn checkraise gets 3-bet, it looks like he's in big trouble.

In any event, SB's play in the hand does represent an absolute monster, for whatever that's worth. BB appears either not to be aware of this or not to care, though.

is this a joke? wtf??

your read is "will fold scary boards", you 3bet pf, board is KKx and you CAP the turn (total spew btw) and he still calls and still value bets the river. so what's your question?

no, he was 100% correct to check raise and cap AT on a KK27 board. after all, he has the third nut pair of kings here.

the river is an obvious value bet/3-bet. if he caps, there is enough chance he has the fourth nut pair of kings for us to call.

more action on the flop? i dont know. i like waiting until the turn to start pumping with hands this strong.

OK Just so everyone doesn't think I'm complete Lagtard - I was posting this to see if it was just me or if 5/10 is always this aggro.

I am villan in this hand and I capped the river to win with a set of Kings.

Do you all run into this kind of maniac at 5/10 a lot?

BTW - thanks miles - fell off my chair at work.

Although "a lot" is probably overstating things, you'll see plays like this on occasion.

In this instance, I guess Villain was trying really hard to represent a popular slowplay with, say, AK (with his preflop 3-bet, flop check-call, turn checkraise sequence) and couldn't figure out that he should give up.
