Re: WCOOP main event sensation - winner under investigation

[ QUOTE ] Why couldnt he just get his sister to call them and be like yeah i was playing blah blah blah. I dont see how they can prove it wasnt actually his sister? [/ QUOTE ] This is much like the Exclusive/El Capitano incident, except there is one account with zero history of play. I would think an investigation on when the account was made and how funded reveals much more than we can know at this point. If one can simply make multiple accounts and play them by having said person at their house at the time the genie is way the hell out of the bottle on this. [/ QUOTE ] Stars - Why was the account created right before the event, and this was the first event played Him - I have some extra money this year from playing and i thought i would be a fun thing to let my sister play. She has never played online but plays alot live and really enjoys poker Stars - Why did the money for the tournmant come from a transfer from you him - As i said i gave her the money to play as a gift I dont know, i judt dont see how they can actually PROVE it wasnt her. Enless he was stupid and didnt tell her and they called her and she was like uhh i won what? |

[/ QUOTE ] They call you right after, in addition the pokerstars client allows support to pop up a chat box on your account at any time. [/ QUOTE ] Im pretty sure if he won $1M under his sister name, his sister knew before he did, like when he was on the final table. A pop-up chat is worthless because he can pretend to be her [/ QUOTE ] He may be a sociopath, but that doesn't mean he is smart enough to out scmart pokerstars. They are good. |

Re: WCOOP main event sensation - winner under investigation
PokerStars can prove it when they check the timing on his action (check call raise fold), if he actually played 5 accounts this would be easy.

Re: WCOOP main event sensation - winner under investigation
If he played more than the one extra account and it resembled anything like this that entire line of non-proof goes right out the window.
This is of course operating under the assumption Stars has to prove anything other than a strong likelihood it went down exactly the way people are suspecting it did- which I doubt they would have to. Account #3 from the same address would generally take us to that place. |
