All buy-ins will actually be in HKD-value casino chips. Players with USD will need to exchange their USD at the casino's cashier desk and purchase HKD-value chips. The chips will then be used for the actual event registrations.

hey guys I am coming in tomorrow,

This is my first major tournament so it should be a lot of fun and I should be a big donkey. I am not sure how to get money though? Is anyone willing to do a PokerStars for USD swap? I'd probably need about $10-$20K depending on what games are running and how well I do.

I just found out about this a few hours ago so I am throwing everything toegether at the last momment but I am in Asia already.

The tournament is very likely going to lock out, so if you haven't got a seat better call ahead and see what you can do. The 15k won't lock out. At this point, there will be no cash games (but if you ask me, i just might be able to find you something.) But ya know, i haven't hard about any cash games...or anything.

I called and got a seat (he said there were 10 left about 3 hrs ago). The guy I talked to to reserve my seat said there will be computer cash games up to $4K USD buy in. There won't be a dealer, it will be like PokerStars or whatever except you can see all your opponents. Sounds sorta meh, but we will see how it goes. Looking forward to this. Is there a spot where all the 2+2ers are meeting or anything?

Hey guys I'm in JFK airport right now on my way to Hong Kong, should get there Thursday night around 7 I think? I planned this trip last minute and couldn't get more than $10k from my bank so if anyone could help me out with cash I'd really really appreciate it, I'm trying to play both the 2500 and 15000 as well as the biggest side games if they are running.

The buffet in the Grand Waldo is really quite good. I'm thinking since many will have just got off a long flight they won't want to wait a long time for food or have to worry about going to a restaurant where there's nothing on the menu that suits them, so let's plan to meet there.

The buffet is on the 1st floor of the Grando Waldo, meet there at 7:30pm, look for the young guy in the suit.

I got in last night as well. I was able to catch the 7:10 ferry even though my flight landed at 5:45. BTW, business class is the only way to go. Kept my sanity by upgrading for sure.
