Haven't chosen yet... still planning on visiting the schools and meeting with professors and the like.

Leaning toward Harvard or Princeton probably. Chicago has one awesome professor (best anywhere for what I want to study probably) but not much depth. Columbia has a couple of great people but also is a bit short on depth (particularly in British history). Stanford has good breadth but doesn't have a direct specialist in my field as Harvard and Princeton do.


As far as Yale... they have maybe the best overall history program in the country, but they have little in my area (basically, history of science / intellectual history 1500-1800, particularly Britain and British Empire). Ditto Berkeley.

A 27 is good on the ACT, right? The results say im in the top 10% in US.
