you can get supernova in a little more than 3 months time at 3/6 at 50k hands/month.

5/T you can get nova in 2 months at 50k hands/month.

vpp per hand discussion

If I remember correctly I believe you can get supernova in a single month playing $3/$6 regularly. When I used to grind 3/6 I got about 1000FPP an hour. Put in 100 hours 4-6 tabling and you should just about be there. I am not sure how many more VPP you get at 5/10 then 3/6 but it shouldn't be too much more because I think the rake is pretty much the same.

you are confusing FPP and VPP I think.

You need 100k VPP to get to SN.
Playing 4-6 tables of 3/6 you can maybe get around 300 VPP an hour...which gives you the 1000 FPP an hour you are referring to.

Regarding 3/6 vs. 5/10...you get way more VPP's at 5/10.
On 6-max you get 2 VPP's every time the pot reaches $40. This obviously happens significantly more frequently at 5/10.
And the 1st VPP is when the pot reaches $20 and you'll have more 3/6 hands that only get up to $12 or $18 or something.

Depends on your playing-style and table-selection somewhat of course..but I think 0.7VPP/hd at 3/6 vs 1.0 or 1.1VPP/hd at 5/10 are decent estimates.

Regarding trying to get to SN before the end of the yr at 3/6. That will take some effort but is do-able.
We have almost 10 full wks left in the year so that's 10k/wk or maybe 2k/day for 5 days out of 7.

2k/day might be in the range of 4-5 hours of 6 tabling 3/6 I'm guessing.
Or perhaps 4 hours of 4 tabling 5/10.
