Feedback Needed for a Live $1/2 NL Hand
This took place at Foxwoods about a week ago. All details are accurate to the best of my memory. I will post the results later only because the hand was interesting to me...
Hero is UTG, Dealt K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero raises to $13 (standard table pf raise) and is called in 7 (yes seven!) places. Pot is $91. Flop comes 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero has about $350 in front of him, bets out $100. UTG+1 has whole tabled covered twice over, calls. UTG+2 goes all in for $116. UTG+3 calls ()$116. He has another ~$100 in front of him. Table folds to hero, who can only call the additional $16. UTG+1 calls. Pot is $555. Turn comes a 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero ??? Reads: UTG+1 is solid but not great. He scares me the most, and I am having a hard time putting him on any hand here - I think he is capable of getting away from TPGK here. UTG+2 - Gambool! He has a Qx I'm pretty sure. UTG+3 - Just sat down, this might be his third hand... |

Re: Feedback Needed for a Live $1/2 NL Hand
Put the rest in, if you lose, you lose, but the pot is $555 and you have $220 left. If you were somehow winning, the turn is about as good a card for your hand as can possibly come off, so move all in. This is why I prefer limping with the intention if limp raising in EP with big pairs in 1/2 NL live. If you open raise to a non-ridiculous amount, you simply run into too many spots where you get called by 3-6 players. Isolation barely exists in these types of setting for a bet of 6-7x BB in EP in live casino games.

Push. A live 1/2 game plays like 0.05/0.10, only worse. KK is the nuts here.

Re: Feedback Needed for a Live $1/2 NL Hand
I pushed on 4th street for another ~$250. Was called by UTG+1 and UTG+3. The pot at this point is right at $1200, which is by far the largest I have seen at this game.
This is where the hand was really interesting... I show my kings UTG+1 shows 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG+2 shows A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG+3 shows K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] One of the other players swears they folded the last queen. If this is in fact true, then UTG+2 and UTG+3 are drawing 100% dead - any ace completes UTG+1's straight, and king gives me a set. 11 cards are known. Out of the 41 unseen cards, there are 6 hearts for UTG+1's flush, 6 non-heart straight cards, two threes for three of a kind, and 3 fives for two pair. He had 17 outs of 41 cards to win. River is a 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] for the straight... |
