Default First Post, First 12K sample & some questions!

Hey all,

This is my 1st post here, after having read the posts for a while as an observer. It taught me a lot already, and I'd like to thank all posters for that. Really.

In short, I've been playing poker for about 14 months, blew about 2.5K in my 1st two months playing ABSOLUTELY anything (from $0.25/$0.50 to $5/$10 LHE and NL10 to 100).

Since then I have understood what bankroll management is about, and after playing over my head NL100 HU and tournaments successfully, I have decided that taking a shot a low-limit HE could be a good idea to see if I can do well in a game in the long run, so here my stats! I am really motivated and want to do well, so any help will be appreciated!

Game: $.50/$1 LHE 10-handed, PokerStars
Hands: 12,924
Profit: +$441.70 (3.42BB/100)

Summary

VPIP/PFR/AF: 19.7/10.0/2.47 (AF by street: 2.71/2.75/1.69)
VPIP from SB: 32.97%
W$WSF: 39.64%
Went to SD: 35.7%
Won$ at SD: 54.9%

Folded SB to steal: 84.07%
Folded BB to steal: 52.00%
Attempt to steal b. 34.21%

Check Raises: 3.4% (distributed F/T/R as 73/25/2)
Folded to River Bet 43.41%

Position Stats

# / VPIP /ColdCall/ BB/hand / PFR
B / 21.7 / 2.9 / .11 / 12.9
1 / 19.8 / 2.2 / .12 / 12.2
2 / 18.7 / .9 / .09 / 9.7
3 / 19.2 / .7 / .04 / 10.5
4 / 15.1 / .5 / .13 / 8.6
5 / 13.0 / .2 / .08 / 8.1
6 / 13.6 / .1 / .08 / 8.7
7 / 13.1 / 0 / .05 / 8.4 (not many hands here)
BB/ 23.4 / 0 / -.21/ 7.9
SB/ 32.9 / 0 / -.12/ 11.3

Sorry I had to type all this since I don't have my own url to post the PokerTracker output directly...well anyway, please let me know what you think of this! I have also a question bothering me about my PT stats...should I (do you) be a winner in the Misc Stats tab when the final hand is symply "High Card"? I am negative for this one, and I slight winner with one pair...I dont't know how to interpret this, since all hands when you checked behind on a busted draw will obv. bring it down, while being called with only a pair should not generate so much profit (and all the hands when opponents fold by the river when you hold a pair do not appear here)...so I'm curious how these numbers arein your stats...to see if I'm too stupid to call down too often with a lame AK high

Please let me know what you think of my stats, and I'll be more happy to provide you with some other numbers in case I'm missing something, and yeah, I know hand in themselves are more important, so I'll post some soon!

Thanks in advance,

This all looks pretty good to me. Now start concentrating on the play individual hands.

Well I was confused too at first, running over 4BB/100 for a while, playing focused and 3-4 tabling only. I have been up to 6 tables (starts to be too mechanical, and even 9 to whore PS bonus and GoldStar status fast) and then I can tell how the WR suffers...

Assuming you 2-3 table $.50/$1, don't you think you could "crush" the game at 3 or 4BB/100? I read 2BB/100 everywhere, and to be honest, I'd be happy with 2BB/100 as well. No greed

Do you think I could give a shot at $1/$2 now? Is there a significant difference in the level of play? As long as I have a >0 BB/100 I'm willing to move up if the game there is pretty similar.

Your wtsd is a little high. However, your w$sd is fine. I would say that you are picking or finding good games or running good. Just keep an eye on this, especially as you move up, your wtsd will/should probably drop a couple of % as you come up against tougher players who show-down stronger hands.

I've been running good AND table select like a maniac...my WTSD is high I agree, but I don't call so much tho. Are my AF stats ok? For a while I've had a higher AF on the turn than on the flop...which doesn't seem too odd to me. It's where the money his, and I oftern raise in position or C/R in that spot with TPTK rather than on the turn...

Also what do you think about my Final Hand question in PT: can anyone be positive with high card??? River play is still a somehow mistery to me.

The thing about PT and high cards is, you have to check the "show only hands that were not folded" box. Then it should be a solid plus for each of them.

Thanks from posting up you stats it gives me something to compare mine to, I play in the 5c/10c NL game. I don't have as many hands but my stats are very similar, my overall VPIP (19), PFR (6.6 ) and AF 1.8/1.95/2.1 and position wise they match yours just a little lower except for the big blind. In the big blind I am at a VPIP is 14.7 and yours is 23.4. I have played all my starting hands in accordance with SSHE guidelines (loose table) which I am going to assume you also use as a guide since we are so similar. I have reviewed my BB hands and don't see any opportunities that were missed so maybe you could give me a little guidance as to the hands you play from that position. Most of my decisions are either, limp as there is no raise and I am hardly ever opening or I end up calling one bet.

You're posting in the wrong forum (here's it's LIMIT HE and you'l make some guys mad pretty soon :P)

As far as your VPIP from BB is concerned, well, you're playing NL and being OOP for the rest of the hand is probably leading to more disasts than in LHE. Seems about right to me. But maybe I'm too loose from the BB. Maybe you're too tight from the BB. I've seen the guidelines here in the forum about PT stats and it mentions the VPIP from SB only. Anyone has a recommendation (VPIP and loss rate in BB/100) from the BB?

fret,

I've tried to check/uncheck that "show only hands that were not folded" box and it doesn't change any of the stats. How much of a moron am I? Is there another filter/box I should use as well so the data isn't skewed?
