Kyro DVOA factors in margin of victories.

For the most part, yes, I admitted my choice of wording was biased. It's not even that I think it's Pats and then everyone else. I just think it's Pats, a gap, the Colts, a gap, the Steelers/Cowboys, a smaller gap, and everyone else

[/ QUOTE ]

except that first gap doesn't really exist

Impossible to know beyond fans saber-rattling right now. They haven't played any combined teams and the NFL is too high variance anyway. I want to agree with what you wrote, but it's really hard to know.

I can agree with this. I'm arguing my point because I like to throw the numbers I choose to use out there. But it's certainly not definite.

I just want Kneel B4 Zod et al. to know that this thread was a capstone on a significant achievement for the entire Northeast:

Patriots fans are now inarguably the most insufferable fanbase on Earth. Congratulations! You'll also be proud to know that Red Sox fans are #3.

Remember, kids, there is no fury more righteous than the PERSON WHO GETS PUNISHED FOR BREAKING THE RULES. Yeah, [censored] those people who enforce mutually agreed upon limitations!

You know what would be a wicked suh-weet movie? Like some dude gets caught speeding, pays the fine, and then comes back and murders the entire police force. That would speak to a real core element of the douchebag psyche.

Patriots have a larger margin of victory this year than 26 NFL teams have points scored!

Also the Pats could be scoring extra in case they get to tiebreakers 9 to 11:

If two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical records, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.

Two Clubs 1. Head-to-head (games between the clubs). 2. Best won-lost percentage in games played within the division. 3. Best won-lost percentage in common games. 4. Best won-lost- percentage in games played within the conference. 5. Strength of victory. 6. Strength of schedule. 7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed. 8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed. 9. Best net points in common games. 10. Best net points in all games. 11. Best net touchdowns in all games.

I don't think he was comparing 07 Pats Start: 89 Niners start; he was saying that the last time a team looked this dominant was the 89 Niners, regardless of the time in the season.

He acts like the 2007 Pats are something special,

prob b/c their weeks 1-6 are the best of the last 15 years or so.

[/ QUOTE ]I named 3 other teams in the past 10 years who had starts just as hot.[ QUOTE ]

but they haven't proven anything yet.

ok

Two of the three teams I mentioned didn't win the Super Bowl. Fast starts and great regular seasons don't mean anything. In the words of Dennis Green (coach of the 98 Vikings): Let's not crown their asses yet.

1998 Vikings

| 2 | at St. Louis Rams | W | 38-31 |
| 3 | Detroit Lions | W | 29- 6 |
| 4 | at Chicago Bears | W | 31-28 |
| 5 | at Green Bay Packers | W | 37-24 |
| 6 | |
| 7 | Washington Redskins | W | 41- 7 |
| 8 | at Detroit Lions | W | 34-13 |

1999 Rams
| 1 | Baltimore Ravens | W | 27-10 |

| 3 | Atlanta Falcons | W | 35- 7 |
| 4 | at Cincinnati Bengals | W | 38-10 |
| 5 | San Francisco 49ers | W | 42-20 |
| 6 | at Atlanta Falcons | W | 41-13 |
| 7 | Cleveland Browns | W | 34- 3 |

2000 Rams
| 1 | Denver Broncos | W | 41-36 |
