Solid single player PC games?

So I just got this sweet new laptop that should be able to play all the latest video games... Im looking for some good recomendations of what to get.

Im looking for a game that has a very good single player mode with a strong compelling storyline in it.

Bioshock is the obvious candidate here if your hardware can cope with it.

I'm mostly an RPG guy, so Id add Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights 2. Also Elder SCrolls, both Morrowind and Oblivion.

Empire Earth 3 comes out in a two months or so. If you like RTS games, the Empire Earth games are the best.

Note that for RS:Vegas, Double Agent, and Bioshock, your graphics card has to support Shader Model 3.0 or they won't run.

A bit old, but Deus Ex is still one of the best games ever created. If you like Bioshock, System Shock 2 will rock your socks off.

SS2 = one of the best games evar!! Cant find my [censored] CD though...grrr.

SS2 is my favorite FPS of all time. Definitely worth playing. I would play that first, then Bioshock.
