Re: Atlantans, Tennesseeans, Arkansans, Mississipians: Tunica on the
This sounds like fun and if I were still 'back home' I would be on this like a duck on a junebug.
.....by the way Dude, the preferred nomenclature is 'Arkansawyers'. |

Re: Atlantans, Tennesseeans, Arkansans, Mississipians: Tunica on the
I might be able to make this. Are you just going up on the 30th or staying for the full weekend? I have a wedding to attend on Friday night and it would be like a 900 mile drive to Tunica, but I need to drive back to AL at some point during the weekend anyway, and Tunica is kind of on the way. I just wouldn't be able to make it until like Saturday afternoon at the earliest.

Re: Atlantans, Tennesseeans, Arkansans, Mississipians: Tunica on the
I wouldnt mind going. How serious are we about this because I still have a lot of vacation left and if enough people will be there then I would consider taking a week off to come. Let me know.

Re: Atlantans, Tennesseeans, Arkansans, Mississipians: Tunica on the
[ QUOTE ]
this seems adequate enough to not go. sorry guys, i dont want to go to mississippi jail :O [/ QUOTE ] My night in a Tunica jail was very memorable. I had gone down between X-mas and New Year's to buy girlfriend better gift before she got back from visiting her parents. I played all night in the Horseshoe (drinking heavily. I remember playing $25 minimum blackjack($5 was my norm) with some crazy Asian lady. About 5 AM apparently I had gone busto. Dejected I head out to the parking lot to drive home(3.5 hours). Before I hit Hwy 61, I fall asleep and demolish a tree. The cops come and take me to the station, where I proceed to blow .12 into the breathalyzer. I figure they are going to throw me into the "drunk tank" for several hours and let me go, but no release for me. The jail was alternating between extremely cold and extremely hot when the heat was on. There were about 12 people in a space for 6. I called some friends to come bail me out, but it was Sunday morning so it took them some time to get there and gather bail money. After they get there they find out that the bail office doesn't open until 2pm, so what do they do...they go gambling. When they get back the bailbonds person's name was, get this, Queen Ester Hargrove , so after 24 hours in Tunica jail, I was very ready to get home. But, have to get the car out of the impound lot and then have to replace tires, because I apparently killed the normal one in the wreck and they killed the spare somehow. Cliff notes: 1. Not a nice experience. |

Why Hollywood? I've been to Tunica maybe ten times and have never stepped foot in that place.
