bad spot for being nasty?
15/30 6-handed, Pacific Poker
Villain 40/14/1,2 We're deep in the session, and what I've played so far should have looked just solid. As villain was two to my left I had a closer look at some hands where he defended his BB and saw that despite his low AF he regularly checkraises/pushes his draws against steals from the button. Hero opens from the button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 1 fold, BB calls Flop 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] check, bet, raise, call Turn Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] bet, raise, call River 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] check, bet, call Villain shows 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] In the end I was surprised to be beaten by a pair of deuces (thought he would have folded hands like that). Did I pick the wrong opponent to not fold the flop and become nasty or was this spot just too obvious for him to believe me? |
