Default Airline Tickets

So I have a buddy in Asia, he wants to pay for mine and my buddies flights from the USA to Asia.

My question is, will arilines (Orbitz or whatever) allow him to purchase our tickets using his credit card if he is not one of the travelers? Are we better off just getting reimbursed by him? Is this even an issue?

Thanks in advance

I don't know about international flights, but it doesn't matter who purchases the tickets domestically.

When he books the tickets online, they should ask for the names of the persons traveling. If they ask before he has to punch in his credit card info, you're golden, if not, call the airline.
