I would have been tempted to have Timlin at least start the inning.

at least that should be it for Betancourt. 22 pitches. cmon Timlin, hold em here

[/ QUOTE ]

Betancourt pitched 80 innings this year, I would expect he starts the 9th unless the Indians have the lead.

uh...why is this guy not the Indians closer????????

[/ QUOTE ]

i dunno if you heard but joe borowski saved 45 games this year. he can't save all those games if he's pitching the 8th.

[/ QUOTE ]

um...I don't think it's controversial to say that Borowski sucks.

[/ QUOTE ]

i was being sarcastic, but borowski is also not as bad as his ERA would indicate. i haven't looked at it, but in some cases setup men see as much high leverage time as closers do. so while betancourt is clearly, CLEARLY better than borowski, using him as they have is probably marginally worse than closing him, if at all. i am sure mark shapiro knows all this, and also knows he is headed to arb like tolbiny said.

[/ QUOTE ]

this makes sense, sorry for being a retard, but how much did you lose etc.
