I reraise him 3 times his bet, since i would kill myself if i just flatcall and a flush hits.
He reraise me and I figure, what the heck i have the nuts lets shove the rest in

If i would have held up and win this hand i obviously wouldnt post it, but since he sucked out on the river with his 2 pairs, my brother says i played this hand bad..and i just cant see any other way of playing here, can you???
Isnt this very very very very standard???

Your brother likely sucks at poker.

You got all the money in with clearly the best hand (and a redraw to a flush/straight flush)... wtf else do you want to do?

u played it fine, you have dem mortal nuts and his bet / 3-bet shows that he likes his hand quite a bit, not going to the felt on the turn is a mistake.

My only deviation would be is that I will occasionally bet the flop, but not always, and I do not hate the check.

Your brother is an idiot. You played it great and it looks really standard.

I play at Poker Stars all the time and see this kind of idiot chasing the flush draw. And...they usually are rewarded for their stupid play.

You had to make the move there with the flush draw on the board. His call was extremely loose and dumb. He got lucky!

Keep playing correct and it will turn out for you in the long run.
