The DJIA is about to close at 13800 today. It's 50-50 that it will be above or below that level in 2 months.

FWIW, the Bodog bet is max. $50. So if you're looking to use it as part of an arbitrage, you won't be making much.

Yeah, transaction fees would kill your profit if you tried to arb in your brokerage acct. Just man up and risk the $50.

On a related note, is Bodog still reputable for payouts and such? How are people depositing these days?

For a while, Bodog payouts were reliable, but took a long time (20-30 days) for the check to reach you. Recently, they've gotten much better. A check I requested not long ago came within 4 days and I was shocked. I'm not sure how US people deposit there now (I haven't had to deposit yet post-legislation), but I believe they offer some kind of payment service similar to NETeller.

wow, I got all excited for nothing.

I figured out if you buy a dec 22nd call on the DJIA with a strike price of 11200 you would have to pay 2500 (going ask). If you buy a lot of those options and put down the same amount on the bodog under, getting 1.7-1, you would make somewhere between -1% to 31% in 2 months, which is [censored] amazing. I was ready to get 100k on bodog this evening until I read the max bet is 50 bucks .
