Maybe I shouldn't post this here, but I actually did want an answer from the sng experts. In my last 19 9-man sngs ($20-$33), I had ten 1sts, one 2nd, and one 3rd! So I won 55% of the sngs I entered over this stretch. Talk about running hot. [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] The question is - could this be some kind of record? Or not even close?

I'm not so sure about that AD. I did some calcs:

Assume "typical" player, long term prob of winning of 1/9 or .111. Then prob of 11+ wins in 19 tries is 0.000102% or approx. 1 in 978,000.

Now assume I'm a great player, who is 50% more likely to win than the typical player, so long term I should win .167% of the time. I don't know if top players have that big of an edge, that's why I originally posted this on STT. Anyway, under this assumption the prob of 11+ wins is 0.0056% or approx. 1 in 18,000.

But there is more. I won 2 of the next four I played after I posted this, so I'm now at 13 wins in 23 sngs. The probs are now:
assume p=.111, prob of 13 wins in 23 is 0.000015% or approximately 1 in 6,500,000!
assume p=.167, prob is 0.0016% or approximately 1 in 60,000.

Just based on the probability calcs, I have to believe this must be an all time record, or damn close, if not.

I have to admit, anyone who looks at that graph would have to wonder if it was rigged, including myself. My fantasy is that I was randomly picked by some programmer at FT to give a sng rush from heaven.
