$250 Bet with a friend
A friend of mine and I are both winning MSNL players. However, we seem to disagree on everything. Recently, we got involved in a heated discussion regarding leading out vs slowplaying certain flops.
So, we were railing a friend playing $0.50/1 6max. He had only played 1.5 orbits. He had raised a lot, and taken 3 out of 4 pots down with a continuation bet on the flop. Nobody had played back at him, and the table seemed tight in the short period Hero had been sitting down. To the hand in question. Hero raises u.t.g to $3.50 with TT. Cutoff and Button call. Flop comes down T55 two spades. At this point, Hero bet out. One of us argued that it would be more +EV to check it, hoping for a check-raise or allowing opponents to catch up. The other argued that it's more profitable to lead out. So, since neither one of us settled on the other's point of view, and we are both stubborn, we bet $250 on who was right, the outcome to be determined by 2+2'ers. |

Re: $250 Bet with a friend
I definately lead out.
Pocket pairs won't believe you on this flop, esp having been so active and sometimes one of them may make a stand with any two. |

I love donkeys that always slowplay top pair or better and always bluff with worse.

Re: $250 Bet with a friend
Lead out...people don't fold pocket pairs here and it looks sketchy as hell if you always check monster hands on the flop.

Re: $250 Bet with a friend
I agree with FGators. If your friend has been c-betting a lot of flops then he is much less likely to be believed and at these stakes someone may have a 5 and pocket pairs aren't going to believe him. I think overall you get more action by betting than checking.

Lead out. If you are called, I'd expect to win a sizeable pot.

Re: $250 Bet with a friend
after you build an aggressive image, the idea is to use it to your advantage. if you're checking all your monsters and better all your poop, it's not going to take too long for anyone who isn't a complete retard to catch on to that one.
