Default Top 2 Pair - Late in Satellite

Playing Bodog 40k Satellite. 6 people left 4 get seats. One guy not in hand has very large stack (double everyone else). Other guy is on autofold and has bigger stack trying to make it by defualt. Small blind has me covered by 1500 chips, Big blind has half chips that I do.

We all limp into flop. Flop comes q, 5, 6 with 2 hearts. I have q 6 and last 2 act with no heart. Small and big blind check, I go all in to push out flush draw. Small blind calls, big blind folds (flush draw). Big blind turns over q 10. Of course turn and river are both 10's. Did I play that wrong should I have bet less with 2 pair after being checked to. Anyway, out in 6th and 4 get seats.

Grunch... (try not to post results - you'll skew the responses. Just post the hand up until the decision asking how others would play it)

Without knowing stack sizes and blinds, I have no way of knowing if you played it well or not.

Initially I don't think I like your call PF. Q6 - even in position - is pretty weak. But again, without blinds / stack sizes I can't say for sure.

The push with top two is fine, I think.

Thanks Ontario. I'll leave out results next time.

Blinds were 1200/600 plus antes. I had 16,500 in chips, small blind had 17,000, and big blind had 10,000. Since we were basically 5 handed (one guy on autofold), and only blinds left to act, I played my q 6 limping. I would probably have folded it to a raise. I just wasn't sure if maybe I should have bet less than "all in" and see the turn card. I was thinking I needed to push flush draw out.

Fold preflop.

As played, it looks fine...just UL. I don't see the T on the turn changing your mind any about your hand if you had just bet and not pushed.

as played, oh well. But seriously, fold preflop. Sats are all about chip preservation and limping with garbage is like lighting a big blind on fire...
