Low Pocket Pairs from blinds
i know this depends on reads but in general. should you be calling a normal sized raise from the blinds with a low pocket pair like 22-99?

Re: Low Pocket Pairs from blinds
Depends on the player obviously, against an unknown I would never call for set value vs a CO or a Button opener, i'd just fold or 3bet depending on table conditions.
I'd be more inclined to open vs an early position opener with or without callers. |

Re: Low Pocket Pairs from blinds
If the effective stacks are more than about 10x the raise (which they are when you're playing fullish and the raise is 4BB) then you can call. Low PP are some of the easiest to play OOP.

Re: Low Pocket Pairs from blinds
There was a recent post regarding calling for set value when the button raises. It was concluded that because of the wider range a button raiser typically has, calling for set value alone is not sufficient as we often only win a c-bet after the flop. So you should try to recognise boards where you can occasionally win the pot without flopping a set.
