Default Hows this for a gift idea

Ok, so I am "dating" this girl, and I am kinda into her. It's her birthday tommorow, and I wanna get her something that is personal.
I keep making fun of her choice in music, she listens to watever is the latest hot pop song etc.
So i was thinking of making her a lightscribe cd of some of the most influential songs in the history of rock'n'roll and engraving a collage of the artists on the top.
That along with flowers.....
Is that good?
Maybe some OOT girls would comment?
Oh, and does anyone have any experience with lightscribe?
I just got a new laptop that has a lightscribe drive and have been dying to try it..any tips etc.??

So you want to burn her a CD of music she doesn't like.

Bravo.

My prediction:

I was all ready to say "thats a crappy gift" before opening this thread.

You didnt disappoint.

Nothing says a gift from the heart than a mixtape of music she doesnt like.

No, she does enjoy a lot of those songs. Evertime we're driving around in my car she'll go thru my cd case and put in something she hasnt heard before ..(doors, b.b. king, the clash) etc.
This is in India where a lotta ppl havent heard of thse bands so its not that abnormal.

Stop trying to force good music down her throat. If she likes Pop, make her a pop CD.

this is a great side gift idea, especially if she likes music a lot, but I might throw in something else too (more than flowers).

Make a music mix for her some other time, not as her birthday present.
Get her some flowers, wine, dinner...whatever. If there's something specific SHE likes, go that route.

Assuming she isn't a huge materialistic bitch, she'll like any gift that is thoughtful. If you honestly put some thought into this and aren't just trying to push your favorite music on her, go for it.

tbg,

"doors, b.b. king, the clash"

I'm surprised she hasn't heard of these bands, since they were all very big in the 70s when she was growing up.
