if you cant get value on this river, then you are the nittiest of nits, or live plays so much different than online that everyone is highly exploitable.

I actually think it is a combo of both tbh

[/ QUOTE ]

If he has combo draw, given his style, his stack and my weak bets, he'd c/r the turn very often. Also, the river card completes most draws, he'd lead out for value because he's sure I'd check that river behind if he checks with better hands. Therefore, it's unlikely he has a combo draw here. The reason he stays with us till the river is because he believes he has 6 outs against the board and we offered him the implied odd for his draw.

With this information, IMO, the best way to get value at the river is to underbet rep our hand has no showdown values. He can't call the river but he believes we can't call a shove given our weakline.

checking behind is not standard, betting is standard, and you played this hand way too weak. Bet $650 on the river, and bet A LOT more on the flop and turn.

Live $5/$10 NL in LA cardrooms. Villain is very loose aggressive.
1. He always 5.5Bet preflop from LP against live straddle with 3 limpers.
2. He always bet on the draw and raise with combo draws in HU.

[/ QUOTE ]

nobody "always" does anything...sorry dude...get this out of your head or your a future railbird

[ QUOTE ]

This hand, mp limps, I limp with 66 from mp+1. Folds to villain, he raises to $60. mp folds. I call. HU.

He has 5K, I have 2K.

Flop 762r. He leads out $100. I raise to $200. He calls.

Turn Kd, two diamonds on board now. He checks, I bet $300. He calls.

River Td. He checks, I?

Plan A, (aggressive) under bet the river $200 - $250 to invite a shove from weaker hands... (Read - he'd c/r the turn if he has combo draw, but he cc the turn. I don't believe the river help him. His hand has no showdown value, my underbet shows weakness and invite a shove from weaker hand, call from medicore hands.)

Plan B, standard, check behind.

[/ QUOTE ]

underbet to get a call from qq which he planned to cr on the tun but got shutdown by the k.

i feel like youre a losing player who gets sick of losing / berated for being a retard so you post hands where results oriented you played well but against their actual range of hands you played like an absolute retard. i guess this somehow in turn makes you feel smarter because you got max value out of a hand that other wouldnt have and in turn leads you to think you're the best player like ever. whatever works.

While I find a lot of NY Walker's reasoning to be flawed and incorrect - the reality is that he is an extremely profitable tournament player - particularly live. He is not a losing player. Dealing with the specifics of the hand and his analysis would be worthwile. Calling him names is not.

Good God. I had missed that thread the first time round. Wow at some of the egotistical rubbish in it.

However, simple name calling going forward is still not something that can be justified.
