this is online, I lost the ak vs a4 so don't owrry about that

I'm not sure that you can put him on such a narrow range. This guy is absolutely batshit crazy. By far craziest online player I have ever played with. I would not be surprised at ALL to see a stone cold bluff here some of the time. Its just hard to evaluate how often.

I fold. You've put 250 in and have to call 14k to win about 15k. If he has done this multiple times, why not wait till your equity is much better than with just top pair against his range? Unless he is doing this literally every hand hes in, I'd fold.

Aaagghh I friggin hate this argument because it is so hypothetical and this guy is probably gonna bust soon. Also I think you are way underestimating the equity we have against his wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide range

cole please don't bring up things like that - they make me cry. sefat53 was absurdly degenerate and bad, and there were like 5 guys who played similarly.

Villain limps, has 14k. some guy raises to 250. I call with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]j[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] rest fold.

Yep, I'm brave enough to bitch-slap Chuck Norris. But I'm not dumb enough to call here, especially with 300BBs.

Anyone saying pick a better spot:

This isnt a donkament and im assuming jablue is very rolled for this game.

Picking a better spot cant really apply. It is implying that this spot is +EV, but that you dont want to take it because there will be bigger +EV spots in the future?

Terrible reasoning IMO.

I agree. If you're properly rolled well in this game, and villain is a maniac as described, then you could call this every day of the week. Catch him now before someone else busts him.

I'm not sure if villain is capable of the kind of leveling by making a move with the nuts just because he'd been super laggy earlier. My guess is that 90% of the time he's just as crazy right now because he's just that kind of tilty person. If he happened to pick up a hand, so be it. You did too. It can't be that bad of a move to call.

The spot isn't so terrible. Flip a coin. Chalk it to variance.

I think you are overestimating his range. Heres my thought process. Without some other hands, going by the A4 to AK shove is dangerous. Shoving A4 preflop over someone is a lot different then open shoving 300 bb into two opponents on a board that is likely to hit a preflop caller/raiser. Its not like the board is 652 and we have 76. Its J 10 3. Though there is no flush draw, I think this is a dangerous call with top pair. I think this is a lot of times for value over your top pair, or at worst a big draw which we are 50/50 with. I also wouldn't be surprised to see AA here. It just reeks of "you think im crazy so call me please."
