Yea, I just moved to southern cal from RI which is also guido central and I am Italian and don't miss guys like that. But, I do miss the food a great deal.

Haha...I moved to SI in '70, when it was just beginning to make the transition from sleepy suburb to breakfast community. By the time I left in the early '80s it was pretty citified, and when I returned again for a visit in the mid 90s, it was like a smellier Brooklyn.

As someone of Italian descent, I don't know whether to be offended or just laugh at the sheer ridiculousness of OP, even though I know what he meant.

Ummm...ok. It could have been a worse post. You could have told everyone that you went near the ferry and cannot believe how bad the area has gotten and how many <u>fill in the blank for people of non caucasian persuasion</u> moved there.
