Re: 2007 Pac 10 mens basketball thread
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Nice job by Weaver and Clark to try and lose that. Brockman is a monster, Hawes is a bigger monster, but Dentmon is horrible. How he takes the last shot I have no idea. Cougs played great D. |

Re: 2007 Pac 10 mens basketball thread
Another sweep! Just when I think the Cougs are due to have a letdown, they find ways to win. I love how the Huskies came out with a ton of emotion and energy, and the Cougs just calmly went about their business.
(And it was great to see Appleby hit his first three 3s -- and then not even hit rim on his next three.) |

Re: 2007 Pac 10 mens basketball thread
Who is worse, Appleby or Baynes (seriously, has anybody ever had worse hands?).
Baynes actually played decent defense, but jesus, he shouldn't be allowed to touch the ball on offense. |

Re: 2007 Pac 10 mens basketball thread
Baynes made some ugly shot in the paint and the announcer said, "Have you ever seen an uglier shot?"
Uh, he made it. Ugly to me is one of Appleby's nothing-but-air 3s that go straight out of bounds. |

Re: 2007 Pac 10 mens basketball thread
Nice win Cougs.
It's interesting that next weeks WSU-Oregon match is the big one. You guys beat us next week and winning the PAC 10 title outright isn't out of the question. Hell even if you lose it you still have a good shot at a share. UCLA is one up in the loss column and still play at Arizona. If they lose that, the March 1st UCLA at WSU game will be ridiculous in Pullman. |

The Cougs had some HORRIBLE offensive sets in the last 5 minutes. And by sets, I mean Weaver taking shots with 28 seconds left on the shot clock, and of course that terrible lob attempt with a freaking lead. But they pulled it out. As a Coug fan you're conditioned to expect the worst, so a win like this is so sweet. |

CSC,
They were like a 1-3 point fav in most places. I don't think that was out of line. If UW's guards don't play horrible, I think they win this game. (in part because two of our best players ate [censored] in the 2nd half). |

[/ QUOTE ] I have friends who did place some bets, but CSC, you clearly don't understand what it's like to be a Coug fan. I did win some beer from a Husky friend, and of course I didn't bother taking any points either. |

[/ QUOTE ] That shot was REALLY ugly. I can't even describe it, he kinda managed to throw it underhand with his arms above his head and roll it into the rim. He lookes like a 2 year old playing on a toddler hoop who had no understanding of the game beyond "wait, ball goes in here?". |
