Help my friend relize he is bad 1-2 NL cash game

Hey guys i have a friend that recently played the 1-2nlcash game at the taj mahal and he told me about this hand...
Hero stack $300...Vilian stack $300...Hero is in BB w 78o ..
Limped pot with 5 players.. villian in the cutoff...hero checks the Flop of Q 7 8 rainbow one player bets $10, villian calls hero raises it to $30 and villain cold calls. turn a 5 hero bets $20 and villain raises to $80....hero folds.... how bad did we play this hand and please include a plan for all streets and discuss how good/bad our hero played this hand....

Leading the flop > than c/r.

Leading the turn for $20 is gross. Bet wayyy more. As played I prob call the raise and c/c the river.

lead flop, lead turn for a potish bet, if raised on turn FOLD without reads, if just called on turn, check call a river bet thats not a scare card
