I haven't read the whole thread, but the solution does not seem that hard really, but maybe I am being too simple here...
1. Team up, knock up a website and have an online petition, with all the players that want to see the rake lowered. 2. Start negotiating with other well-established sites than PS and FTP, pointing out the website and what you are actually wanting to achieve. 3. Go back to PS and also point them to website, giving them details about what you want to achieve. This way you team up, which gives you more power, you bait the "new" sites with a high volume of players, and PS have to really think about taking you seriously and giving you what you guys want. Again, maybe too simplistic, but imho this is the only way you have a chance of achieving what you want. Flame away....

It has been stated that Lee Jones is worried about "over-fishing" in SNG's, and that is a reason to not lower rake. Well, even if lower rake doesn't attract more fish, it does allow the existing ones to survive longer.
Besides, if Stars is so worried about over-fishing, why do they allow people to play an unlimited number of SNG's at once, instead of setting a limit of say 12 tables maximum? It's clear that the SNG community is being overcharged. However, I must point out that effective rake was almost halved for Supernovas during the double FPP promotion, and a few people complained that too many skilled players were attracted as a result and thus the 60s and 114s were much tougher!
