Freshman year sucked for various reasons. Introduced first boyfriend to poker as well. We did well enough to beat minimum wage. His year sucked, too so we decided to take a year off and get an apartment. Basically had enough money saved from poker to cover rent for whole of the year so that was nice.

I never played a lot of hours, bare minimum really. Maybe 20 a week? Played up to 3/6 6max. Then just before heading back to school I ran into sick downswing followed by UIGEA followed by heading back to school and I haven't really played since except to dabble for fun.

Limit was my breadwinner, but I did fairly well in PLO8 tourneys (came like 3,3, 2 in a set of 3). PLO is a sick fun game and was what my ex specialized in, but goddamn those swings. I made money at it too but I'm a nit so hard to stomach it, especially with rent coming out of bankroll every month.

Anymore, if I had my 'druthers I'd get together a good game of HORSE or any just crazy games with friends, but I don't know many people who play. Or if they do it's only No Limit. Some of the most fun I've had with poker is playing with 2 dollar buyins and pride. Invented a game called Pizazz with the ex - razz with a pinochle deck. He always said there was a mathematical perfect strategy and yet I always beat him HU.
