Default Re: Steps on Stars -- feedback requested

I have no clue how to play things heavily involving ICM, so I am glad I already won my steps seat cause I was prob a dog in that [censored].

With that said, if there were like $1200 winner take all STTs I'd be on those [censored] all day.

pls?

[ QUOTE ]
I would prefer 6 & 6a over just 6. The fact that those buying in directly would NOT like 6a makes it more likely I would want to play it. I have no problem working up from Step 1, if I have a better chance to cash out something at the top even without winning the package.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I thought about that before I said I prefered just 6(a) and no 6. I thought that it might take a long time to get a 6(a) going if there were two options. I'd hate to sit there for four or five hours waiting to play. If that turns out not to be a problem, then I'm not as worried about having both.

Why not have 6a pay 1 seat, 3 redos, and $600 cash?

[/ QUOTE ]

agreed

also if you add 1 table step 6s, i doubt the 2 tables will ever fill

my 2 cents:

stick with what u guys are planning

PCA Step 6a: 9 players, 1 package, cash to places 2 through 7
(2nd/3rd: $1,500 / 4th/5th: $1,000 / 6th/7th: $500)

over the 1 seat, 3 redos, and 600 cash idea.

though I do agree that 18man sats will probably never fill up once u create these 1 table Level 6's

With the current structure, more seats will be offered to the PCA.

That is the goal of steps. If they offered a 6-max winner take all, that's one thing, or a 9 max with 3 re-dos only and adjust the cost of rake to fit. But once you get to the final level, moving down to level 3 and 4 is absurd.

[/ QUOTE ]

If the goal of the steps was to qualify people they should only let people win once. Once you have won your seat you cant play in anymore steps. Convert all their remaining tickets to T$ or W$. Instead of letting the sit and go pros win multiple times and accumulate w$ from the low limit grinders who happen to make it to step 6.

Bryan - you're looking for feedback, so:

If you implement 6a as described, I'm gonna try 'em out. As a true low-limit donk, the 6a setup will allow me to take some shots with a chance of getting some $ at the end. I may end up with a PCA seat, but that's just gravy.

With the current step 6 setup, I'm not bothering to try, as I would consider myself a major-dog at the end, so even spending $7.50 would be big time -EV for me.

That 7.50 has allowed me to rack up FPPs much quicker than I normally would.

Also, definitely bring in 6a.

Same boat here...decided to wait to see if a 1 table like the one you guys are proposing would be created. now that I see it is almost a given...I'm gonna start multi playing the step 1s and work my way up from Level 1 to hopefully win a PCA seat and some $$ along the way.

Doubt I would have ever played them if the 18man Level 6 were all that were offered.

Tnxs for listening Stars
