VU HBC Bobby Johnson when asked how he planned to track Percy Harvin and surely that is a top priority, he responds. "By GPS, hopefully we can sneak up on him before the game and put it on him".

[ QUOTE ]
Also, if SEC refs knew the rules, there could of been ejections:

No substitute(s) may enter the field of play or end zones for purposes
other than replacing a player(s) or to fill a player vacancy(ies). This
includes demonstrations after any play (A.R. 9-2-1-I).
PENALTY—Dead-ball foul. 15 yards [S7, S27] from the succeeding
spot. Flagrant offenders, if players or substitutes, shall be
disqualified [S47].

It doesn't have to be your 2nd penalty or in addition to any other penalty. If that wasn't flagrant, then what is?

I really don't care that they weren't ejected, but just goes to show you that the refs have NO idea when it comes to calling these type of rules properly.

[/ QUOTE ]

omg, don't start on the ref's. Have you seen the replay of the broadcast? That crew was horrible.

I put it as zero chance of a fight breaking out between a team coached by Urban and a team coach by Richt. But I take your point.

Man lunch is gonna be fun. Will a fight break out at lunch? I'm planning on doing a celebration dance on the table once our food arrives...assuming they put my plate down first. Assuming there is not fight then you can do the dance on the table when I pay the check.

GL with Vandy. That won't be easy.

Send me a pm if you can go next week. Any day is good for me.

That was the same crew (Penn Wagers) that did the Auburn/LSU game, so yeah...horrible. They have a history as well. (Bama/LSU 2 years ago I think?) But cmon TFG, you're saying they should have ejected the players who ran on the field there? WTF? Players run on the field all the time to celebrate, granted not that many, but I've never seen an ejection. That would be horrible. If that's not what you're saying, then what do you mean about "calling these type of rules properly?"

It was 2004, the SEC even later admitted that they [censored] up by not calling pass interference.

The same crew also [censored] up the UT/Florida game earlier that year.

Would would you consider a flagrant offense of the above rule, Tiger?

I said in my post, that no I didn't care that they should be thrown out. If you actually read any of my posts, I said it was a good idea by Richt for his team. I'm just taking it from more than one angle.

& FWIW, yes we're told to potentially eject players if players from a team who are not playing run on to the field AT ANY POINT during high school games.

The worst thing about that crew was how smug that little bastard was the whole game.

More specifically, you have to use discretion because obviously you can't determine who is subbing in/out in that situation, but BY RULE anyone who stayed on the field could have potentially been ejected.

I swear you assume I'm bitter about the game or something because I point out flaws in refereeing. As a ref, I take a lot of pride in it, so I bring it up for discussion. SEC refs continuously have problems enforcing the rules. I don't really get on them about missed calls that are human error.

Understandable, since the worst SEC call this century has been the excessive celebration call that went UF's way. Just human error, guys!

If Tebow's girlfriend ran onto the field, I'd consider that flagrant. I'd allow it though.
