Busta is pretty fast... Too bad his CD has been on the verge of being released for the past 2 years.

Who are you thinking of specifically from your high school days? I think fast flows have always been in the minority...

That said Twista is fairly popular and there are a few people on the fringes of the mainstream, like JTMoney & 7L&Esoteric

I think it's just a trend shift....take someone like 50 Cent -- he can rap fast just fine, but he just doesn't choose to most of the time.

Dead Prez's politics don't seem consistent with those of the NAACP. I think you meant to say Black Panthers.

I'm A African, never was A African American.
Blacka' than Black I take it back to my origin.
Same skin hated by the klansmen,
Big nose and lips, big hips and butts, dancin'
What?

"theres nothing harder than slow rap"

so true. if you rap fast it's easy to hide the fact that you're spitting a bunch of dumb [censored]. if you rhyme slow, you really have to have some content.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes i'm consistently blown away by the content of the great slow rappers. Me and all of my other white, upper middle class friends find that we can really indentify with the touching stories of struggle and hardship in rap music.

[/ QUOTE ]

why do you listen to rap?

Can he? I know he can certainly rap faster than he typically does on his radio-friendly songs, but I think those bullet fragments in his mouth make it impossible for him to rap with enough speed to impress anybody.

Maybe you're accidentally downloading the screwed and chopped versions of songs.
