PokerStars cashout time question
Recently started playing on PokerStars. Did my first cash out to neteller this weekend.
Does it really take 72 hours for the transaction to process, or is this just a CYA estimate? I assume nothing happens over the weekend, do transactions process faster during weekdays? Just trying to plan cash flow, since if it takes 3 days for Stars to send to neteller, and 2 days for neteller to EFT to my bank, I am basically looking at 1 week delay in getting my money. Is there any way to establish yourself with Stars so transactions are processed faster? I am currently Gold close to Platinum, or Uranium, or what ever, after 1 week of play. |

Re: PokerStars cashout time question
Ive had them go through in under a day.
Ive also had them go through in almost the full 72 hours. I dont know if there is a correlation between the two, but when i have a load of cash still in my account it seems pretty instant - if you cash out everything it takes longer. Either this is a coincidence or they do this to run a full check on those emptying their accounts. |

Re: PokerStars cashout time question
It's real bore to cash out by cheque too. Any deposits you make are returned to whereever they came from (Neteller etc...). Then the remaining balance is sent by cheque.
So to cash out your winnings (and a cheque is the closing thing to cash) you have to withdraw your entire bankroll. Then you have to stop playing for up to 5 days until they actually issue the cheque (not say they have issued it which they do immediately). If you redeposit to play within that time period they cancel or change your cheque to the new net amount Its a really bad, un-customer friendly process. Which they are apparently very happy with... |

I don't follow the logical leap for these statements to follow one another. Can you give me more details please? |

Re: PokerStars cashout time question
My guess is they perform an investigation the first time you cash out, so expect to wait close to the full 72 hours the first time. This is for funds that exceed your initial deposit, as those are useually cashed out immediately.
For subsequent they useually do not take more than a day for additional funds over the original deposit to be received. My guess is they have an internal program that would flag your account if you play with the same people, played with a dirty account, other statistics that could trigger a further investigation. This is all conjecture. |

FYI - Update
I cashed out Saturday at 6:00pm
Money was in my Neteller account by noon Monday. So even with weekends, appears I don't need that much lead time to pay my utilities and insurance bills. |
