Default What a hard climb, but I\'m almost there..... wha?... NO!!!!!!!

&*@$*_)*)_%*)@@$ poker

I'm in one of those modes where every time I shove my good hands, they've got the nuts.

This is not a bad beat, I know, but just indicative of what I feel like I'm "up against".

Button is 22.6/20.2/5.7 over 120 hands, so the button RR does not mean he has a monster. (Well, of course he does; he's playing a hand against me.)

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP ($130.90)
Button ($207.70)
SB ($100.50)
Hero ($129.85)
UTG ($100.70)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
MP raises to $3.5, Button raises to $12, 1 fold, Hero calls $11, 1 fold.

Flop: ($28) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)

I've been playing passively this session, because I've been pretty card dead. I did river a full house at this table just a few hands prior (hit set on flop, flush got there on turn, river paired board) and just min-raised the villain in that hand on the flop and on the river. OK, now that I've caught my set, I hope to catch this villain by surprise by insta-shoving. Even if he folds, at least I change my opponents' view of me, and I won't get bullied so much.

Hero bets $117.85 (All-In), Button calls $117.85.

Turn: ($0) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($0) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $263.70

Results in white below:
Button has Ah As (three of a kind, aces).
Hero has Jh Jc (three of a kind, jacks).
UTG has (three of a kind, jacks).
Outcome: Button wins $263.70.

Ugh.

I'm not sure there wasn't a better line that could've been taken...

It's PokerGrapher. There's a thread about it on the PT website.

No doubt, but I was feeling feisty. I gave my reasons. Definitely not my normal line. Would usually donkbet $20 or so. I doubt I'm good enough yet to fold to a shove overtop anyways. Unless you mean pf - either folding outright to a 3bet OOP, or re-popping (and folding to a shove then?). But anyways... no strat in BBV. Let the onslaught continue.
