artie lange leaving stern show in january

anyways, announced on todays show after some bickering with howard. the writing was on the wall as he was being overly douchey lately.

fwiw, i wish he was leaving today. he has gone from great to just annoying. he interrupted a little steven interview the other day non stop which has become the norm. also his stories about guys like 'joe rocco from the docks' have become predictable and boring.

anyways, my initial thought is to have gilbert be the new guy but i dunno if he would work on a daily basis. there is also the jackie angle which i suppose makes some sense. guys like adam corrola etc also probably have interest.

they havent gotten to him leaving on the west coast feed (101) for those interested. apparently howard gets pissed about it, but i have yet to hear the live feed.

fwiw they are on vaction next week. i honestly wouldnt be surprised if this was his last show. from listening to howard for son long, i wouldnt be shocked if he nips this in the bud and asks him to leave ASAP.

I cancelled sirius in January after listening to that show for the better part of 6-7 years. I didn't miss a show from 03-06. Artie was pretty much the only person I could stand listening to anymore. That's crazy stuff. Did he just enter self destruct mode?

i hope adam doesn't take it. his show which replaced stern is great imo, and i actually prefer his show to howard's now. i still catch them both, but corrola has come into his own and shouldn't be a sidekick/support guy anymore.

I never listen to Howard and haven't seen the TV show in a year or so, but Artie was always the funniest on the show for me. That sucks he became such a turd.

3 years ago this would have been big news for me. Not so much anymore. I've just grown tired of listening to Stern the last year or so (nothing to do with Artie ~ just the show in general) and I usually only tune in a few times a month.

Maybe I'll listen more again when his replacement starts.

I saw him hosting live at gotham on comedy central the other day. He looks horrible right now.
