PP 10/20 How often do you fold that set?
First, I want to say that the line I took is not standard, I just wanted to keep the guy in, as he had a tendency to fold to flop raises, but as soon as he was still in on the turn he kinda stayed in the pots, with marginal holdings.
I would usually raise on flop, or raise more on the turn with the flop-call line,etc.But I wanted to change a bit. anyway: ***** Hand History for Game 5984635497 ***** $2,000 USD NL Texas Hold'em - Saturday, May 19, 19:23:13 ET 2007 Table Table 126584 (No DP) (Real Money) Seat 1 is the button Total number of players : 6 Seat 1: HERO ( $5,485.50 USD ) Seat 4: LordLuckbox ( $3,010 USD ) Seat 5: borgouki_madon ( $2,000 USD ) Seat 6: samuel755 ( $2,294 USD ) Seat 2: UpmaxH ( $2,000 USD ) Seat 3: mahmouda ( $2,000 USD ) LordLuckbox posts small blind [$10 USD]. borgouki_madon posts big blind [$20 USD]. ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to HERO [ 7c 7s ] samuel755 raises [$95 USD] HERO calls [$95 USD] LordLuckbox calls [$85 USD] borgouki_madon folds. ** Dealing Flop ** [ 7h, 2c, 8c ] LordLuckbox checks. samuel755 bets [$303 USD] HERO calls [$303 USD] LordLuckbox folds. ** Dealing Turn ** [ 5d ] samuel755 bets [$303 USD] HERO raises [$606 USD] samuel755 calls [$303 USD] ** Dealing River ** [ Jc ] samuel755 is all-In. |

you min raised the turn? [/ QUOTE ] i read most of your posts, I think you have to work on your game some, OP. That being said I don't doubt that you're probably a winner on party though. I think you can make a case for raising flop and/or shoving the turn despite your "reads" on the villain. I mean, your only shot of him improving are overcards, which include flush cards that would probably kill your action. Better to just get it all in, the sooner the better. Yes the bare FD would fold to a turn shove, but combo draws and other random hands would def call you. The river is close but I think it's a fold against a standard TAG. Against a tricky player, it's a crying call and a thin one at that, 9T and flush draws just got there. I don't think you're leaving much just folding. |

I fold here pretty much always.
I think the flop check is ok, and if you raise the turn to around 950 this is obv more often a call on the river. The turn minraise, for me, is the only mistake you made in this hand (assuming you fold river). |

Turn minraise sucks. So many bad river cards, you dont want to keep him in unless he pays the price.

I really dislike your line here. You certainly cannot flat call the flop AND the turn.

If he shoved a blank river id expect to see a busted draw. As played, he probably has it. I dont know if hes tilting hard at that table like i make him tilt, but whatever. |

was the turn raise to induce a bluff shove? if so, and you think its often successful, then alright. if not, then i hate it.
