ok i just watched it

poker plot was:
kid opens up a credit card using his dads name and charges $1,000. Dad finds out and gets mad, but is immediatly told that kid has won $4,200 so far. Then is up $8,200 as the show progresses. Then eventually loses it ALL, apparently losing a big hand holding a str8 flush.


hmmm theres more holes in this story then an african condom.

pokersites don't allow credit card transfers. Up a quick $4,200? wtf, kid won a tourney? Then up $8,200 in like a day? wtf?!? And then proceeds to lose it all in the next day, with a str8 flush no less?!? what this kid playing, 50/100 NL on UB?!?

I guess its not TOO far fetched judging from all these 2+2 busto stories. But this kid is suppose to be only 13!!

o well, i realize that most TV poker stories are not gonna be accuratly due to cineamatic purposes.

The show airs on the greatest network on earth(News Corp). The FOX channel, you know, the same channel that airs the best shows such as The OC, Prison Break, and The Simpsons?

Folks, we often complain about the portrayal of gambling in the media.

But, let's be honest. There are lots of people who get hurt by gambling, just as with drugs, alcohol, etc.

That's life. As successful gamblers, we just have to live with it. Complaining won't change the fundamental truth.
