bankroll question
I play mainly MTT but because of time-lack (unfortunately i'm not yet able to live from my poker-income) i plan to play more STT in the next time.
My question regards the bankroll asessments therefore. I'm used to have a bankroll of about 60-100xBuyIn for the MTT. I read the FAQ for STT and there its [ QUOTE ] However, it is preferable to only move up once you have 100 buyins at a given level so if you DO happen to go on a bad run, you won't have to move down to recover. [/ QUOTE ] As you must me much more often ITM at STT i don't understand this high quotage. How do you guys handle this - do you play with 100xBuyIn or less (or even more)? Thank you for replies. |

Re: bankroll question
I play 27s with almost 200 buyins and only recently moved up, but I don't think that is even close to standard. IMO 75-100 is the very minimum you should have, especially if you can't easy replenish your roll if you go busto.

Re: bankroll question
You can get by with 50 buyins or even less so long as you move up and down aggressively

[ QUOTE ]

Re: bankroll question
i play 22$ with about 25 buy-ins (as i have cashed out already). I don't see a problem at all when you play concentrated and focussed your ROI should be high enough to compensate two or three non ITM games.

[ QUOTE ] You can get by with 50 buyins or even less so long as you move up and down aggressively [/ QUOTE ] what do you mean with moving aggressively? [/ QUOTE ] meaning when you decide on the appropriate amount of swings that your roll/situation can handle, you act on it. For example (completely hypothetical), if you decide to play the 27s with 50 buy ins but say "as soon as I drop to 30 buy ins I move down to 16s and if I hit 100, move up", and adhere to that closely. |

Re: bankroll question
Obviously your requirement are not the same if you're 1 tabling from time to time with a massive ROI or if you multitable massively for a small ROI and you play for a living.
For 1st, 20 buy-in can be enough. For second, you'll prefer to have 100+. |
